In addition to her accomplishments as a musician, actress and filmmaker, Shaeri Richards spent 30 years in Radio and Television as a journalist and talk show host.

Over the course of those years, she spent much of her free
time studying astrology, metaphysics and spirituality as tools for self-discovery and became fascinated with the Jungian idea that fairy tales are much more than stories for children. They also carry symbolism that can help the reader make sense of his or her own inner world. Maressa and Merlone: A Musical Fairy Tale was written from this understanding.

Ms. Richards is also the writer/director of an award-winning short film entitled The Mother Tree and has authored an award-winning spiritual self help book called Dancing with your Dragon: The Art of Loving your Unlovable Self. She is a practicing astrologer as well as a certified hypnotherapist.

Shaeri makes her home in Sedona, Arizona with her husband Jerry and their canine companion Muzzie who always makes them laugh.
